I try to answer:
These machine doesn't come with solenoid valve.
Don't forget we use better method to have better espresso.
If the flow looks good and the espresso comes out is normal.
I don't think the puck is very important;
we drink the espresso.
I think there may some solution to have better pcuk.
Please try to ask ah * and nel

if you decided to look for a solid puck in a machine without a 3-way solenoid, the only way i could think of is to use a very high dose.
