light
medium-light

very dark
should I interpret as below ??
american = light
city = medium-light
city + = medium
full city = medium-dark
full city + = dark
full city ++ = very dark
in the ??? of this website

Might be too late to join this one but each roaster's middle is not the same.
Some will be 'rolling 2nd crack' which indicated over FC+, ie in the Vienna or French territory.
For some cafe, they will always their coffee roasted 'light' but you'll see it oil all over with dark brown.
Probably ask them about when they pull the coffee is better and use Sweetmarias roasting guide as an indicator. Somehow, I found hkcoffee.com roast quite close to Sweetmarias' guideline. Ditto Social Coffee Company as it's medium dark is more like light FC+ than crossover to the vienna/french area |
