Hello coffeebean,
Sorry to ask how much you totally paid for the repairing in this 2years?
Gaggia Evolution and New Baby Twin are good choice for next target.
600N or Mazzer Mini are good grinders.
If you really ?? and the grinder in your machine still working with no problem.
Just buy 4020 and THE unpressurized basket and THE steam wand + open the bottom. I think can save a lot too.

Sorry for MHO:
If you ask here first, then you have saved $400- and to bought a new machine with better performance and
no need to repair ah ma add $5-600.
This kind of PF charged you $400- as much as a commercial grade PF ah.
By the way, if really want to save in the future.
I strong recommend to get a 4020 and 600N in the next time machine buying. Open bottom never do anything bad to your machine.
On the other hand, all GOOD.
Otherwise, pay a little more go for HX N.S. Oscar (White colour is the best looking to me) rather than others you mentioned above.
Make sure use with good filtered water would be fine enough for home.
Oh my god, the new HOT RED is very very nice too !!!
Not much $ difference; but performance is far better.
** Those kind of machine should not need such $ service as machine you have now, no worry.
***Best WATER filter and beans are most important to all kind of brewing.
Then GRINDER and techinques = equal important, machine is the last to me here.

BAD OLD news to us, the grinder with White Oscar above is MCF,
with premium grinding performance too, cost about HKD$1,500-.
BUT long long time ago.
Mini A helps up dosing; good doser.
Any HIGH HAND here can make one ?
Other doser, difficult to dose a high dose as Mini E - A or B...
Worth to pay more to have such doser and larger burr than regular Mini.
Good Mod.
But compare with SJ, SJ with good value too. |
